Minutes

Meeting was called to order by President (here-after referred to as Jim)
A preview of the agenda was presented by Jim
Jim asked if anyone would like to make additions to the agenda
Angie made a motion to approve minutes of previous meeting, Carolyn seconded the motion, the motion was voted on and passes by the members present

Event Log, the following solutions were suggested to problems with the format of post hours logging and event logging
In order for a call to be a post call an attempt must be made to contact all the members
All members should be provided with personal hours tracking sheets
An event report form will be developed

Shawn gave a Noble Rd. Update
Shawn is "lovin' it"
He has 70% of the dog hair removed
There will be a call on September 18th. A 1:00pm to 5:00pm call to service Noble Rd. and a 5:00pm to ?:?? call to have dinner and a formal meeting at Shawn's house.

Angie Motions we break for food, the motion is seconded by Becca, voted on, and approved by the Members present

There is a delay in re-starting the meeting while the vice-president, who is filling in for the secretary, finishes eating
Jim call the meeting to order a which time Shawn decides to cook Wilbur :)

First Night Raleigh is discussed by Bill, the following information is provided
An outside vendor has been found to handle all of the lighting and sound at the four stages inside the Civic Center
We as a post would be responsible for signage, tents, porta-potties (or lack of), volunteers, and other stage managerial roles that may arise.
It is discussed that we can fake all the elements except porta-potties
9 of 11 members committed to the event , Jim will only be available after 11:30 when the Jim Passe show ends
We decide to tentatively accept the position pending confirmation form the rest of the members that they intend to participate.

Raleigh Symphony Orchestra
Tentative figure of $1600 is available through accepting position
The responsibilities will be the same as they were last year with the addition of more rehearsals.
Symphony schedules will be sent out so that members may sign up for dates

Chris and Elizabeth's moving day
Moving day is set for the 11th
Truck pickup would be in the morning
We will do all the moving
The call will be 9:00am to 1:00pm and 2:00pm to 6:00 pm.
On the 10th there will be a 5:00pm studio packing call

Dues and Membership
Angie declares "OK!!!!! We have Lots of money here!!!! (meaning lots of people paid their $10 dues.
People to contact about membership are Garreth, Grant, Ashley, Chris Owens, and Seth Starr

Street Painting Festival
Held in Moore Square and the adjoining parking lot
There is one stage for which we will provide lights and sound
On Friday there will be a VIP party at night
Saturday and Sunday there will be daytime music

Cyberspace
Bill has had initial meetings
The post will be used as auxiliary crew if necessary

Sound and Lighting Seminar
No dates were decided upon
It was suggested that a system of certification be implemented
It was also suggested that a e-mail be sent with suggested tool lists for different calls

Tarheel Regatta
It is a Power Boat Race at Lake Wheeler
Pending contact with Gonzo the posts participation will be decided

Chicago or New York
Nuff said

A Macintosh call will be held over labor day weekend, more details will follow
A motion was made to adjourn, the motion was seconded and aprroved by the members presesnt.
